Theosophy and Ariosophy: Adolf Hitler’s Ideological Influences in National Socialism?

This issue is very difficult to get people to understand, but the Occult Philosophy is a powerful teaching about the inner power of Man, of utter self-conquest and iron-will, in a world that is increasingly influenced man is merely a bag of bones, dirt, and nerves, i.e., a mere animal.

H.P. Blavatsky, along with her criticisms of monotheism, have been viewed as not only anti-semitic, but an influence on national socialism. This cannot be proven, and there is more to demonstrate Adolf Hitler and the Reich were, as with Mussolini allied against the Freemasons. The National Socialists closed many orders and societies in Germany. National Socialism in Germany was a folk movement for Germans, or the pure-blooded of the race.

However, strange racial doctrines grew from Guido von List and the Theozoologists, that proposed sodomite origins of Semites versus the master race. There is also indication, or rather fact, that the hierarchical conception of Aryanism in this German National Socialist doctrine, applied to all, except primarily the Jew, and plain “Jewry” (Jewish thinking). Adolf Hitler and the roots of certain influences within National Socialism are not difficult to find. Its use of Catholicism was strategic, but it isn’t Aryanism. The Teutonic myth is apart of National Socialism. Adolf Hitler did not view national socialism as a mystical political doctrine, but a racial doctrine.

It is believed Hitler in a letter revealed that he knew the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was a hoax, and didn’t care. It is the Protocols of the Elders of Zion that brought about the anti-masonic, anti-Jewish, anti-theosophy, anti-illuminatist sentiment and conspiracy mill known today. It knows and has no ends or bounds in its accusations. Most people are also not much aware that Jews were not the only victims of the National Socialists in Germany. The N.S. were not too fond of the German Anthroposophists either; because as Hitler and the N.S. perceived it all — Freemasons, Jews, and the Press, etc., were all in cahoots, and apart of a global international conspiracy to implement the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

What of this has anything to do with Helena Blavatsky’s writings, except for being a very bad copy?

They may have our spirit, but not our system and ethic. Magnetism and psychism does not make men spiritual. How can a man convincingly on stage present himself as the guarantor of the Volk — “give me four years,” he said? Adolf Hitler was pumped high up on drugs (Adolf Hitler abused drugs).

Adolf Hitler once noted, that it would be disagreeable for him to be labeled as a Christian:

“I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie…” (audio in “Hitler’s Table Talk” [1941-44]).

The N.S. and SS would not have been sympathetic to Theosophists (see Theosophy and the Second World War). There is this claim that some soldiers found in Hitler’s bunker beside his bed a copy of Helena Blavatsky’s The Secret Doctrine.

We guess, if he did, he forgot the part about H.P.B. mentioning among the Aryans, were also dark-skinned. However, there are things we must still learn. The Reich did not strictly persecute you because you were “dark-skinned,” since they and Mussolini accepted particular Africans. Several Africans and Arabs supported Adolf Hitler as the Russian Communists were attempting to gather them too, believing Blacks to be a “revolutionary people” for the cause of global communism.

It was once claimed, that the person responsible for the spreading of the Protocols was Yuliana Glinka, occultist devoted to theosophy.

These claims are however unsubstantiated. Like Alice Bailey, Yuliana Glinka was a theosophical member once too; but it has never been even closely discovered, that Yuliana Glinka was the culprit. Spiritualism and occultism was a fad (Fashionable Occultism) in these periods, and especially in Germany.

Claims Jessie Walker in The United States of Paranoia:

“Many of her followers adopted anti-Jesuit or anti-Jewish conspiracy theories, and the Russian Theosophist Yuliana Glinka may have been responsible for bringing The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, a notorious anti-Semitic forgery, from France, where it was composed, to Russia, where it was published.” (Jessie Walker, The United States of Paranoia: A Conspiracy Theory, p. 141)

Yes, the theosophists were skeptical of Jesuits, but “anti-Semitic?”

Theosophy merely displaces from the center of the human story, Judaism, its history, and its god.

Hitler’s clearest position on the Jews shows he believed in an international conspiracy, which is why we emphatically denounce this umbrella term, Illuminati; which often involves Theosophists and Masons in an international plot with Jews, Zionism, etc. We can’t be both antisemitic and secret masons.

Adolf Hitler’s Influence and Childhood

Ideas behind Adolf Hitler’s ideology, or the National Socialists who were interested in mysticism are actually based off a very crude interpreted theory of history held in Ariosophy (Esoteric Teutonism/Christianity), Theozoologie, William Chamberlain and Guido Von List’s works. Hitler in his teens was an avid reader of the OSTARA magazine produced by Lanz Von Liebenfels which contained theories that humanity were separated into Pure Aryans vs. Sodomites (See these passages in Qur’an, Sura 5:60; 7:166; and 2:65). The Secret Doctrine on the “Fourth Root-Race” doesn’t support this theory at all, as some have suggested.

Liebenfels distorted, and mixed his theories with the Teutonic Folk or völkisch as Goodrich-Clarke calls it, in The Occult Roots of Nazism: Secret Aryan Cults and Their Influence on Nazi Ideology. The Ariosophists of Austria and Germany, 1890-1935. Adolf Hitler’s militaristic, political machine is more modelled off of the Italian Fascists of Mussolini and the Roman Catholic order of the Jesuits in the medieval times. The Jesuits and Catholics have always had themselves, a terrible history against Masons.

Adolf Hitler’s history: He was an aspiring artist and abused child. Was he an atheist? Hitler was raised Catholic and was quite zealous in his religiosity. Here’s the contradiction:

“… For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. And when I look on my people I see it work and work and toil and labor, and at the end of the week it has only for its wage wretchedness and misery. When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil, if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom today this poor people is plundered and exploited.” (Adolf Hitler, Munich, April 12, 1922)

Thus, leading historians to believe he merely used the church.

On BBC’S The Big Question “Does the Devil Exist?” Richard Dawkins in the previous program handled the questions so brilliantly on the topic of evolution and removing the Christian super-natural beliefs concerning the resurrection. In the program of ‘Does the Devil Exist,’ two of the speakers were saying the devil just has to exist, because how will we explain people like Mao, Hitler, Stalin. This regards the study of human behaviorism, neurology and childhood history or development.

Alfred Korzybski deals with Hitler, e.g., excellently at length in his work, General Semantics. In Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler described a vision of angels, and believed he had a destiny. Now, consider the motivators like political ideology, and psychological issues accumulated in childhood. Repeating how evil he is, doesn’t help us understand why in history such people keep manifesting.

National Socialism and Folkism

National Socialism combines Germanic mystical Folkism and esotericism of Ariosophy, Ethnic Nationalism and Political Organization of the State into one movement and form of governance. It is also the manifestation of the climate of Germanic romanticism and philosophical outlook preceding him, underlying the economic crisis, which is also significantly influential. The third Reich was an attempt in the modern day of a state that had within its inner circle or structure, a folkism rooted in the Germanic culture.

It is mixed with nostalgia for Teutonic myths of a golden age.

Now, some amongst the National Socialists wanted to find the Holy Grail, the Holy Covenant and the mystical Shambhala (in their expeditions into Tibet), and the German State funded these explorations. Some historians have said, that Hitler was not fascinated with the Occult and left these matters to Rudolf Hess, Himmler and others, but this is not so.

You also have to explore the fact, the teachers of Helena Blavatsky mentioned they had enemies, and that these enemies were always trying to obstruct their work. The unknown chiefs, clandestine and operating with pseudonyms stated, that these obstructionists were infecting the Vatican and Freemasonry. In their letters, they state that such conflict between two different types of adepts was an ancient conflict. None of them would have had any respect for Adolf Hitler though. This would be like, trying to think whether Nagarjuna, or Milarepa would have thought Adolf Hitler an admirable chap. A ridiculous idea.

Paneurhythmy of the National Socialists

I was watching a show on air, a year ago (Military/War Channel) and the documentary on Hitler claimed the sources of Hitler’s influence was Blavatsky. The ordinary perspective focuses too much on political and economic pressures, avoiding what ideas ACTUALLY influenced Hitler’s ideology and his childhood history. Do you know about Paneurhythmy, or “sacred dance.” People may know of it, through dervish whirling, but modern-day (20-21st c.) Paneurhythmy was exhibited in the practices of Bulgarian philosopher Peter Deunov and Armenian mystic G.I. Gurdjieff; but also in elaborate N.S. military and youth demonstration rallies like bees of one movement. The German Nationalist Socialists rationalised the displays mystically, because it was designed to work as a collective mesmerising power.

The National Socialists of Germany, had a psychology and philosophy about the rally, which served to create unity, as in bee hives. A reason Hitler found Islam and Muhammad admirable was the political ideology, and reasons for expansionism of the Reich. It also possessed a similar formula for Conquest — the combination of Mysticism and State Political Organisation:

“… because we were jointly fighting the Jews. This led him to discuss Palestine and conditions there, and he then stated that he himself would not rest until the last Jew had left Germany. Kalid al Hud observed that the Prophet Mohammed … had acted the same way. He had driven the Jews out of Arabia …” (Original Source: Wikipedia; Arabs & Holocaust, Achcar“, pp. 125—126)

Muslims in the Middle-East responded both negatively and positively. They did not all support, but was suspicious of the German N.S. However, some were sympathizers and some still are.

Sami al-Judi once wrote:

“We were racists. We admired the Nazis. We were immersed in reading Nazi literature and books that were the source of the Nazi spirit. We were the first who thought of a translation of Mein Kampf. Anyone who lived in Damascus at that time was witness to the Arab inclination toward Nazism. Michel Aflaq a founder of the Ba’athist philosophy admired Hitler and the Nazis for standing up to Britain and America. This admiration would combine aspects of Nazism into Ba’athism.” (ibid.)

In reading Hitlers notes on the Bible, his Biblical and extra-Biblical theories were wacky and twisted. It mirrors Guido von List and Liebenfels. You cannot detect anything Theosophical in the journal, but Ariosophy. Many world leaders liked Hitler, and backed him — even Pope Pius.

“This handshake with the Papacy (…) is a feat of immeasurable blessing (…) May God preserve Reich Chancellor Hitler.” (Roman Catholic Cardinal Faulhaber’s letter to Hitler)

“Since our view of life will never share power with another, it cannot co-operate with the existing doctrines it condemns. It is obliged to fight by all available means until the entire world of hostile ideas collapses.” (677 Mein Kampf)

He had evidently gone down a path in logic, we could never follow.

A year after the publication of H.P.B.’s Karmic Vision in 1891 and the death of Frederick III whom death she predicted, Adolf Hitler was conceived.

“Why, then, should Occultists and Astrologers, as learned as these Astronomers, be disbelieved when they prophesy the return of some cyclic event on…mathematical principles? …in the prognostication of such future events, at any rate, all foretold on the authority of cyclic recurrences, there is no psychic phenomenon involved. It is neither prevision, nor prophecy; no more than is the signalling of a comet or star, several years before its appearance. It is simply knowledge and mathematically correct computations which enable the Wise Men of the East to foretell, for instance, that England is on the eve of such or another catastrophe; France, nearing such a point of her cycle, and Europe in general threatened with, or rather, on the eve of, a cataclysm, which her own cycle of racial Karma has led her.” (Helena P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, Vol. 1, pg. 708)

Helena P. Blavatsky told an interviewer towards the end of her life before dying in 1891:

“If you could foresee what I foresee, you would begin heart and soul to spread the teaching of universal brotherhood.” (…) “It is the only safeguard!”

¹”You say the Nazis were “influenced” by Theosophy. Were they? If someone makes a fake copy of a work of art, will you blame the artist, or the forger? The Nazis did not even copy theosophy. They only got from it – and distorted – a couple of concepts. They did this while propagating and acting upon ideas diametrically opposed to those of theosophy and the universal brotherhood.” (Carlos Cardoso Aveline, Message to an Author Who Did Not Study Theosophy)
