“To agree to take part in this program, Madame Le Pen, you asked us to remove the European flag that should have been behind you.

Said interviewer Gilles Bouleau by way of explanation.

Le Pen remarked:

“I want to be President of the French Republic,
not of the European Commission.”

Continuing

“All the more so since I consider that the European Union has done a great deal of harm to our country and to our people, be it in economic matters, in social matters or in the matter of the disappearance of borders.”

“This will be my first measure, to restore national borders to the French, to regain mastery in order to know who is entering our country and who is able to fight against the danger of Islamist terrorism, which infiltrates, among other things, migrants to come and hit us in the heart.”

Euro. Commission’s representative on Twitter recently posted:

“Proud of our flag, symbol of unity, solidarity and harmony between the peoples of Europe. Let’s not hide it.”

To which Le Pen’s second-in-command, Florian Philippot stated:

“You’ll see, we’ll soon stuff your oligarchic rag in the cupboard.”
